Book Nooks
A book nook is a diorama built to the width of a book, so it stands on a shelf between real ones and looks like a gap that opens onto somewhere else. All eight are lit (some by battery, some over USB) and the effect only works properly once the room is dark. They're detailed builds, and most take a weekend.
