Replacement parts
Broken a piece? Don't improvise.
Parts get damaged in transit, and parts snap at step 52 at midnight. Send us four details and we'll open a replacement claim with the manufacturer for you.
How to request a part
1 · Find the part number
Every piece is numbered in your manual, next to the step it belongs to. Note the number exactly as printed. If you can't identify it, photograph the page of the manual instead and we'll work it out.
2 · Photograph it
One clear photo of the damaged or missing part, and one of the sheet it came from. Phone photos are fine. The manufacturer requires a photo before releasing a replacement, so this step can't be skipped.
3 · Email us
Send it to support@icraftpuzzles.com with "Replacement part" in the subject line.
4 · We handle it from there
We file the claim with the manufacturer and follow it through: you don't deal with them yourself. We'll confirm within 1–2 business days that the request is open, and keep you posted until the part arrives.
What to include
- Order number: starts with #, on your confirmation email.
- Kit name and model reference: both are on the product page and on the box.
- Part number: from the manual.
- Photos: the part, and the sheet it belongs to.
- Delivery address: only if it differs from your order.
The more precise the part number, the faster the claim moves. A vague description usually means one extra round of emails before anything ships.
What's covered
Free: reported within 30 days of delivery
- Parts missing from a sealed box
- Parts cracked or snapped on arrival
- Sheets warped or water-damaged in transit
- A missing manual or missing tools
- Cutting or printing faults on a sheet
Case by case
- Parts broken during assembly
- Pieces lost after the box was opened
- Requests made more than 30 days after delivery
We still put the request in: manufacturers often send these free, and when they don't, we'll tell you the cost before anything is charged. We never charge you without asking first.
Common questions
How long does a replacement take?
We confirm your claim within 1–2 business days. The part itself is shipped by the manufacturer, so allow a little longer than a normal order. We'll give you a realistic date once the claim is accepted, and chase it if it slips.
Do I have to return the damaged part?
No. Keep it: a cracked piece can often be glued and used while you wait for the new one, so your build doesn't have to stop.
Can I keep building while I wait?
Usually yes, but don't enclose a mechanism you'll need to reopen. If the missing part is structural, stop and wait: dismantling a half-built model to fit one piece is worse than pausing.
I've lost the manual.
Tell us the kit name and we'll get you a copy. Send a photo of where you are in the build and we can usually identify the part from that alone.
The kit is no longer sold. Can you still help?
Often, yes: manufacturers keep parts for discontinued models for a while. Write to us and we'll find out rather than guess.
Nothing gets left half-built.
Send us the kit name, the part number and a photo, and we'll take it from there.
